10th Annual Ringer Run 5K, Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 7:00 pm.
We Are! Proud to have organized this run for 10 years, supporting suicide prevention and mental health programs
The Ringer Run, a 5K race established in 2016, was created in memory of our friend, father, and husband Joseph Ringhoffer. Joe was not only an avid runner and a Chester Springs resident but also a proud alumnus of Penn State University and a tragic victim of suicide.
Proceeds raised by the Ringer Run Benefit local and regional suicide prevention and mental health programs. In 2016, the Joseph J Ringhoffer Memorial Fund was established to support the Penn State Student Affairs Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS). CAPS offers essential services including group and individual counseling, crisis intervention, and psychological evaluations for both undergraduate and graduate students, as well as vital prevention and consultation services for the University community.
Through education and awareness, collaboration with local and regional stakeholders, and dedicated fundraising efforts, the benefit aims to create a positive impact in the community, focusing on suicide prevention and providing support for those in need of mental health services.
